If you didn’t already know, I quit my job. I felt guilty for the first day, but also greatly relieved. Now I just feel relieved. No more 40 hours this week 20 the next. No more 6-3, 11-8, 11-8, off , off, 9-6, 11-8, 6-3, you get the idea. No more boss lady with bad PMS symptoms ALL THE TIME.

Real moms…stick the kids with the veggies when they garden.
![]()

Don’t need a tray when eating burritos.

Let their girls play with tools in their Sunday clothes before church.

Let their kids dress themselves so they, the mom, can keep their sanity.

Let their kids se their hands when the dye Easter Eggs.

Have to deal with this when they vaccuum.

SAJ asked if I’d be willing to test out word press and I said, sure, why not. I’m an idiot. Other than change the color, and type a basic post, I’m lost. I need to import Rapunzel and SuperChic here also. But I really don’t want them to have their own site. Though I guess it probably wouldn’t matter too much. I don’t know. I’ll figure something out.

I am attempting to move here. As you can see it’s not going smoothly. I have no idea how to get all the other entries off without excruciating pain. But I’m trying.

Today was the “Viking Run at Rapunzel’s school. This is the second year that she has participated. And the second year she’ll make me go broke. Last year she did 18 laps, this year she did 21. She even got her Papa and me to run with her for a few laps.
The Viking Run is a lot of fun for the kids, it seemed that every single child was smiling even if they were exhausted. At the end they get a popsicle and a medal. And the top boy and girl from each class get to participate in a money grab. (They get to grab a handful of coins out of a jar, the bigger your hands the more you can get.) Each child is given a sponsor sheet to take home to earn donations. You can pledge per lap, or just a standard donation. Chaos Kid and I pledged $1.00 each per lap last year, and Rapunzel expects no less this year. But it’s worth it. The money raised pays for fieldtrips, school activities, and some classroom expenses.
If anyone would like to make a pledge for Rapunzel email me or leave a comment. Rapunzel has until April 5th to collect pledges, she has to turn them in on the 6th.

The world is still chaotic or at least my little part. If you think having two family’s live in a 2 bedroom mobile home is tight try adding a visiting family of four .
Then add a fashion diva of 4 who thinks the way to choose what she is going to wear is to pick it out of the drawer and throw it till she finds what she wants to wear which is of course the one on the bottom. If you don’t get to it right away of course that means dirty laundry so her drawers are empty and I have lot of laundry.
the weather has been dismal so everyone is inside and the living room has no floor to be seen but the children are happy.
Tom Shawn and I have all had the flu and I hope the rest do not get it
Tom and I are going to crackers to take care of her animals while she goes and retrieves the first of her daughters Tara’s job in Idaho is finished and she has to much stuff for one car. when she gets home she takes off to help the other daughter Nick move back to Hemet.
i better get going Chase and Brigadoon are hungry type again later

Tonight was experimental night. What’s that you ask? It’s the night I decide to cook up something weird for diner. Weird for our standards anyways.
Tonight’s dinner I was told could rival Applebee’s but since it was an italian style meal it’d be more like Olive Garden. WITH the carb toting bread and pasta.
I sautee’d whole boneless chicken breasts in olive oil, garlic, onion, and seasoned pepper. Then when the meat was cooked I added one can of tomato sauce, tomato paste, petite diced tomatoes, and some seasoning. When the shells were just about cooked I threw some mozarella slices on the chicken. For veggies we had garden beans, brocolli, and sautee’d mushrooms and peppers. We also had bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
I don’t know why I listed it all on here that way. But at least now I’ll have it written down so if I want to make it again I know what I did the first time. Next time I’m going to make stuffed shells, I think.
The best moment was when I gave the girls each a mushroom, sliced, not whole. Rapunzel added so much other food from her plate there was no way possible she could taste the mushroom, yet she still made a face. But SuperChic took the cake. She asked, “what is it?” I said, “I’ll tell you after you’ve eaten it.” So she put it in her mouth and started chewing, then asked, “o.k., what is it?” I said it was a mushroom. S, “Oh.” Me, “Do you like it?” S, “No, it’s disgusting.” I know most would probably find that offensive and could never have gotten away with that when you were younger, but I didn’t expect either of them to like it. They just had to try it.
