I do NOT want to do anything

Posted by comfortablycrazy on June 23, 2006

I do not want to do anything because I just want to play a game and my Auntie won’t let me play on a game until I post a blog. So this is my post. Goodbye.

Clutter Be Gone, or At Least Controlled.

Posted by comfortablycrazy on June 22, 2006

Someone better take a picture quick because I don’t know how long it’s gonna last. What am I talking about, my apartment of course.
My apartment made my MIL’s look clean. It was really that bad. I even told SAJ that hopefully next time she came to the sticks she could come over.
So yesterday and today I cleaned like a woman possessed. And I even let Rapunzel have a friend over, AT THE SAME TIME. I know I couldn’t believe it either. But I always had to tell her no because the house was to dirty. But not yesterday, I’d alraeady cleaned my bathroom sink, counter, and mirror, though I still have to scrub my toilet and tub. I’d cleaned the girls bathroom, and even managed to scrub the potty that SuperChic doesn’t use anymore so I can put the guts away. They still use the other half as a stool. Then it was off to the livingroom. Where Rapunzel had already helped me put away two Rubbermaid totes of laundry, then put away their winter clothes into the totes and put them in the closet, plus we pulled more outgrown clothes out of the dressers. Then we collected dirty laundry. Rapunzel and Superchic even managed to clean up their room without me having to be in the room. Though I did supervise during the bed making. Which Rapunzel did an excellent job at. Though she did tell SuperChic to go play because she was in the way. Why does that sound so familiar? Hmm, I just can’t figure it out, oh well.
In the midst of all the maddness Rapunzel made a new friend. We had new neighbors move in about a month ago, and they have a little girl, sort of. (I’ll explain in a minute.) We’ll call her MizThang. Anyways, Rapunzel and MizThang went to the playground in our complex, by themselves, meaning without me, or for that fact another parent. This was a first, and remotely scary. I mean I was Rapunzels age when I walked home from school with only a neighbor who was the same age and I was at home by myself until almost 5pm. She did very well, she checked in when she was supposed to and came home when some other girls started throwing things at her. (She came home very upset, and I told her she didn’t have to play with them if she didn’t want to. Then someone knocked on the door, and it was MizThang and her friends. And Rapunzel gave them an earfull of how she didn’t want to play with them because they were being mean to her. When they said they weren’t trying to throw the stuff at her she went back to the playgrond with them. And she handled all on her own without mine or Shawn’s help. I was so proud.) Anyways, my point was amogst all the cleaning I actually let MizThang in the house, and she even spent the night. But since my kitchen was still not in cooking order the girls had Kid Cuisine’s for dinner, and bagels with cream cheese on paper plates for breakfast.
At 9:30 this morning I started cleaning the kitchen, I loaded up my entire dishwasher, and the regular dishrack. And the dishwasher was not loaded for washing, because it sucks and is really only a really big dishrack. Then I washed the counters and stove with 409, and Clorox Cleanup, though not at the same time. Then I vacummed the floor, because my broom is in two pieces and currently awol.
Next it was the kitchen table, which only need to be washed down and vacumming the eating area and livingroom and hallway. Now all that is left is putting away the pizza pans, and canned goods on the breakfast bar, and I’ll be done. (With the exception of my bedroom.)
Hopefully Shawn and the girls will help keep the house up. Which will allow me to clean my room. Boy did it feel good to get all that cleaning done. And to top it all off, I’m at Sue’s doing laundry.
Now back to MizThang for a moment. She is 9 and is living with her Sister, who is her foster parent, as of June 5, 2006. Her sister is 23 and pregnant, and has placentia previa. I’d really appreciate any prayers and well wishes for them. It is not easy on them but they are like a new family, just starting out. (I call her MizThang because she likes Bratz dolls, which I won’t allow Rapunzel to have, because Barbie’s are “so last year.” She also likes movies like Amityville, the Grudge, and Mean Girls, but not Harry Potter or Narnia or things like that.)

Mish Mash

Every good marriage has to have a couple good fights, right?

Well mine doesn’t, at leads not in the traditional way. I don’t fight with Shawn, I fight with his Mom. I’m not going to go into any details. Lets just leave it at the fact that we were both VERY tired, and felt pretty stupid afterwards. Everything’s fine now. And that’s all that needs to be said.

On other news, my 20 hour job has morphed in a 37 to 40 hour job. While the other cashiers who started the same time I did are now back at 20. I’m hoping that this is a good thing, meaning that I’m doing well. Which will hopefully lead to me getting promoted soon. Even if all it is is that I go from being part-time to full-time. There is a definate possibility for advancement, if yopu want it. And as much as I hate being away from the kids and working different hours every day of the week. In the end it might be worth it. If it means bills being easier to pay, paying off our debt, and maybem just maybe me going back to school.

Superchic is due to start pre-school this August. She is also going to be screened for hearing and speech impairment, soon. The paperwork is already started they just needed a little more information to set up a proper evaluation. She seems to be excited and apprehensive about starting school. She wants to got o school, but she doesn’t want to be away from me. The only bad thing is that Grandma will have to pick her up and drop her off. But we got our choice of morning or afternoon, so that was a blessing. She would not do well in afternoon programs yet. She still needs her nap to much, even if she heartily disagrees.

Rapunzel has been accepted into the summer school program for this summer. Which means that hopefully she’ll be able to get her math skills up to where they should be. We were also blessed with it only being a four week class instead of six weeks. Which means she 12 days of vacation, four weeks of school, and then four weeks of vacation. Hopefully that will be enough time for her to drown herself in the pool. The worst part is that she has to be there at 7 in the morning. She is not that early of a morning person. But she gets ouit at 11:45, which means time for homework, if there is any, pool time, and an early bedtime.

Oh just one more thing. Shawn’s cousin Christina had her 2nd baby yesterday. He was 9 1/2 lbs, 22 1/2″ long and was born at 4:45 am on May 31, 2206, in the car on the way to the hospital. And no, she wasn’t driving. This also means that her husband Chris gets to come home for 10 days next month. He recently joined the Army. So congratulations, Chris, Chris, and A on the arrival of Matthan. Taken from Matthew 1:15. (At leat I think that’s where it was).
