In the Dumps
Posted by comfortablycrazy on October 17, 2006
Most of us here at Camp Chaos are sick.
Ladybug is sick, SAJ is sick, ChaosKid is sick, I still don’t feel 100%, and SuperChic is still crabbier than anything.
Luckily, Rapunzel and BabyBug are over it and Tom seems to have missed the whole thing.
SAJ is taking time off to recuperate, but she promises she’ll post as soon as she can sit up and not want to pass out. This means Ladybug and I are on BB duty. Which we don’t mind at all. Even ChaosKid has really been a big help.
What does all this mean, I got to sleep with the baby. I know that doesn’t seem so special, but it is to me. I really can’t explain it, but it’s just not the same once they get bigger.
Anyways, someone will post here again soon. It may even be Rapunzel with a book review.

We’re Gonna Make It
Posted by comfortablycrazy on October 17, 2006
Well it finally happened. ChaosKid got a job today. And a high paying one at that. We were feeling really discouraged these last few weeks due to the fact that the two job interviews he went to looked really promising but nothing happened with them. Now we know why. The Lord knew this job was coming along and that this is what he needed. Hopefully, things will go smoothly, he won’t cause any waves (not that he tries to cause waves), and this will be a job like BTP was.
BTP was pretty much handed to us. He found out about the job, interviewed and got the job. This was pretty much the same way. He Googled job search websites, found a local place that was hiring, sent them an email inquiring about the position and got a call back the next day, he was set up for an interview yesterday, and got a call back today.
The starting pay is excellent and he goes up for review after 90 days. Which also allows for a possible raise. If this works out we’ll actually be able to support ourselves and pay off some debt. Which means getting a place. (We’re thinking about renting the place next door to Mom’s. The buying of the new house isn’t out of the picture, but it may be a while yet and we all know we can’t keep it together all the time. So if we’re next door Mom and I will still have our space and be able to take care of the kids easily.
On another note I’m about to cause some waves at work. I’m going to talk to our Human Resources (HR) guy about me working on Sundays. It states in my contract that I have Sundays off and I’m going to enforce it. This will cause waves because we only have four garden cashiers, one who never has worked Sundays, one who just now started enforcing her contract of no Sundays, another who can only work for five hours a day, max, and me. So if 3 out 4 cashiers aren’t there on Sunday, they’re screwed. The best part is that I really don’t care. (I’m not trying to be disrespectful or anything, but there have been some issues lately which I will go into on my blog, just not tonight.)

“Put this on SuperChic’s blog, because I’m a TomBoy.”
Well, there it is.
You can see just a little of her attitude in the pictures. It looks cute now but in a month it’ll be even better she’s going to get new glasses.
I was thinking something like these, or these or these.

Camp Chaos Does It Again
Posted by comfortablycrazy on October 7, 2006
Well we did it. Dad officially came home today and he was non the wiser to what was going on at home.
What was going on at home you ask? This.
“Yep, they’re all here for you. And yes, lunch, looking at homes, and the grocery store were all ploys so everything could be set up and everyone could get here.”
Rapunzel made deviled eggs and frosted the cupcakes. SAJ attempted to keep things under control. Luckily Aunt Tickle and Do Bug, another family/friend, showed up and lent they’re very capable helping hands. We had kabobs, corn on the cob, salad, german potato salad, brocolli salad, grilled veggies, jello salad, and of course a truck cake.
SAJ designed and made the truck cake. It was very yummy. It was a triple layer chocolate cake, with a Kit Kat grill, Ice Breakers Sours headlights, and Pinwheel tires, with an oreo pie crust street.
Everyone had a great time, and Dad was very surprised. The hardest part of the whole thing was not blogging about it. Welcome home Dad. We Love You.
