I know it has been just about forever since I posted but there has been no time. I haven’t finished the baby blanket I started in June, or the one that was supposed to be done 2 months ago. Plus I have to re-start Reno’s blanket, because I haven’t touched it in over a year, and I can’t remember where I am in the pattern. Let alone start on a new hat for BB, yes there is one stewing in the mess that is my head. And a few shawls too. Maybe I’ll have them done by July, when they won’t be needed anymore.
And on to the next mess. Christmas. Please don’t be offended, but I have to share in my excitement. SuperChic believes in Santa. Why is this cause for celebration you ask. Well Rapunzel has never believed, and I’m very glad that SC does. I grew up with Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Toothh Fairy, and hallloween as a normal part of my life. It’s a little disapointing when your three year old tells you that there is no Easter Bunny, because they know you made the baskets yourself. This year we had Rapunzel wondering, well for a few minutes at least. And she understands that she isn’t to tell her sister that Santa isn’t real. And I’m going to ask that that no one else burst her bubble either. I know a lot of you don’t think it’s healthy for them to believe because it may confuse them in their Faith later in life. I disagree, I grew up with both and I’m just fine, well my Faith is fine anyways. I have my issues, but my belief is not one of them.
Christmas was so much more exciting this year. SC’s interest really made it much more fun. She’ll outgrow it soon enough but for now I can just enjoy this little piece of wide eyed wonderment.
